Championing Courage and Ethical Integrity in Coaching Psychology and Human Development, in Service of a Flourishing Humanity

For more than two decades, my work has brought together psychology, coaching, wellbeing and ethics, contributing to the development of professional practice, education and scholarship. As an early contributor to the integration of positive psychology and coaching psychology, I have continued to explore how human development, ethical responsibility and flourishing are understood and lived.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of applied ethics, moral psychology, coaching psychology and positive psychology. I advance the emerging domain of Developmental Ethicality, exploring how ethical awareness, discernment and action develop and become integrated within our identities, relationships and professional lives.

I am a psychologist, researcher, author, educator and founder. I also work as a thought partner, advisor, consultant and executive coach, supporting individuals, leaders, professional bodies and organisations as they navigate complexity, strengthen ethical capability and pursue meaningful development.

Bringing People, Ideas and Institutions Together

A defining thread throughout my work has been creating spaces where people can engage across professional, institutional and geographical boundaries.

In 2021, I initiated discussions involving official representatives of three major international coaching organisations: ICF, EMCC Global and the Association for Coaching. These early conversations formed part of the beginnings of Coaching Ethics Forum, which I subsequently established and developed into an international platform for ethical dialogue, education and collaboration.

Since then, I have convened international conferences, facilitated discussions among professional leaders and brought coaching organisations together around shared responsibilities for professional integrity. This work includes Coaching: A Guide for the Curious (2025), a collaboratively developed publication endorsed by 14 professional organisations.

These achievements reflect something central to my approach: creating opportunities for people and institutions to move beyond their individual perspectives, engage with complexity and contribute to something of wider value.

From Ideas to Action

I am the founder of Ethics Forum International, an independent, female-founded and female-led global ecosystem bringing together education, research, publishing, professional dialogue, recognition and initiatives celebrating human courage.

Through the Coaching Ethics Forum, Academy of Ethicality, Journal of Coaching Ethics, Ethical EDGE Insights and Champions of Courage Awards, I have created interconnected opportunities for inquiry, learning, collaboration and contribution.

My work is grounded in the belief that ethics is more than compliance and ethicality is more than an aspiration. How we understand ourselves, relate to others, exercise judgement and take responsibility matters profoundly for the people and communities we become.

Whether through research, writing, teaching, coaching or international collaboration, I seek to bring intellectual rigour, humanity, courage and curiosity into the conversations and decisions that shape our world.
